Katie Amelia

We're headed up to Point Reyes right now on a little 10 yr anniversary trip. Our friends are watching the kids for one day and then we'll be exploring and hiking together as as family the second da...

I've chatted on here about how much I love autumn and why it's my favourite season so as soon as I saw this tag I knew it was right up my street. So let's dive into this tag...

What signifies the start of autumn to you?

The start of autumn for me is when the leaves on the trees start to change colour from green to yellow and red and they start to fall off meaning that when you walk over them they crunch under your feet.

Best way to spend a rainy day?

100% wrapped up on the sofa in a blanket or duvet with a hot chocolate watching a film.

Your most fond autumn memory?

I can't find of a specific autumn memory though during September - November I would go to the Illuminations with my grandparents in Blackpool. I'd have fish and chips, go to the arcades along the pier and then drive through the illuminations on the way home. That is such a fond memory of the colder months.

Favourite fall scent?

Anything pumpkin related

What are you most excited for this fall?

I'm so excited to spend Halloween in Disneyland Paris with my boyfriend as this is something I have wanted to do for ages and getting to spend my favourite season in my favourite place with my favourite person.

Favourite autumn song?

I really like the song by Stevie Nicks - Seven Wonders and although it's not related to autumn I just love it.

Favourite autumn movie?

It's a toss up between Hocus Pocus and Scream - both very different films.

What TV shows are you looking forward to this fall?

I love fall for tv as all my tv shows come back for new seasons during this time especially Riverdale and American Horror Story.

Favourite autumn colour?

Either Mustard or Burgundy

Favourite fall fashion trend?

I don't have a fall fashion trend apart from just wrapping up warm with a new wooly hat and big cosy jumper.

Your most loved outdoor fall activity?

It's not a favourite as it's something I have not done yet though I would love to go to a pumpkin patch and pick my own pumpkin rather than just pick one up at the supermarket.

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND PARIS!

That is a favourite sentence of all time, as I graduate University this year I am milking this as much as possible. I mean I invited myself on the annual family trip with my mum, dad and brother as they announced they were going to Florida and there was no way I was missing out.

With that in mind for our holiday this year, Me and Paul decided to go to Disneyland Paris for Halloween when we found a great deal on Magic Breaks which was offering 15% off and free half board dining plan if you stay in one of the Disney hotels. We are staying at Santa Fe from 29th October - 1st November and I am so excited that we are there for actual Halloween as it's my favourite holiday and what better way to spend it than in my favourite place with my favourite person.

I have to pinch myself constantly that we are going back as we went for my birthday last year and we are staying on site for the first time and that means I can buy the pin for the hotel and we can walk to the parks everyday and take advantage of the extra magic hours.

All I can say is I am extremely excited!! Have you been for Halloween before? Please can you leave some suggestions for things to do and look out for!

I can't quite believe how fast this month has gone by, it only feels like yesterday that it was January and now we are nearly half way through the year. I have been loving a few things this month not a huge amount and they are mainly random favourites.

Booking Disney Fast Passes

In case you didn't know I am off to Orlando next month and more importantly - Walt Disney World. It is hard to believe that I go NEXT MONTH! Me and my family have had this trip booked since September last year and now we can finally book in our fast passes, I have been so anxious booking them worrying about getting the wrong ones and someone being upset and missing something out though I have accepted that we won't get to do everything we want to do in two weeks it's not possible so I have calmed down and booked in rides I know we will all love and we will have an amazing time even if we miss out on shows, rides or don't meet certain characters. That just means we will have to book another trip sometime.

Infinity War

I know this is cheating as I techincally saw this film at midnight when it came out in April though I have since seen it again in May and it has been my favourite film I have seen at the cinema. I love the MCU and have seen all the films so I have been counting down the days till this film came out and it is safe to say I loved every minute of it and cried for about 80% of the film (if you've seen the film you'll know why). Only a year to go until the next avengers film is out.

Finishing University

May has been a big terrifying month in terms of university as my three years of being a student has finally come to an end. There were tears and stress for the last several months as I finished my degree and I am happy to say I have finally finished and hopefully the stress will have been worth it when I found out my results later on this year.

Dr Pepper Zero

A very random favourite this month is Dr Pepper Zero and as I am doing slimming world have been since the start of the year I like to have a little treat on the weekend of fizzy drinks and my favourite this month has been Dr Pepper Zero as this is free on slimming world. I was craving a cold Dr Pepper especially has we have had some warm summer days this last month.

Lilo and Stitch

As I finished university this month I have had a lot more spare time to watch films again so as I have DisneyLife I decided to watch Lilo and Stitch as I have not watched this film in years so I wanted to refresh my memory of it and I fell in love with it. I adore the relationship between Lilo and Stitch plus the soundtrack of Elvis just adds another level of greatness to this classic disney film. Plus I NEED a stitch pin from Disney when I'm there.

L'oreal Paradise Mascara

I bought this mascara because of BrummyMummy of 2 saying that she had heard it was a dupe for Too Faced's Better than Sex mascara and I love that mascara though it can be quite pricey especially with trying to save up for two holidays so anywhere I can save money I am willing to try. I did find that after a few days of using the mascara and it drying out slightly the formula was a lot better than when I first opened it as it was quite a wet formula though I am very impressed with this mascara especially as there is always some kind of 3 for 2 deal at Superdrug or Boots making it slightly more affordable.

Platform Vans

Vans are my favourite brand in the entire world and I am obsessed with their range of platform style shoes so I decided to get a pair for Florida, I was lucky enough for my parents to buy me a pair for Christmas - the old school style ones. So when Asos had 20% off it was a treat-yo-self day and I bought a pair of slip on style vans. I have been having to break in both pairs of these shoes as you can not wear brand new shoes to a disney park, it just won't be a happy magical day if your shoes are rubbing. Vans are so comfy and I am so excited to wear them in the parks next month.

Custom Minnie Ears

At the start of the month I treated myself to a new pair of custom minnie ears for Disney from EarsEverAfter, this was my third pair of ears from this seller and each pair is amazing quality and so comfy compared to the ears from the parks as I can wear these ears for hours without them hurting my head. The pair I ordered was the classic ears in sequin form and I love these ears as the sequin ones in the parks don't have the white spots on them like the classic ones do and this pair of custom ones do making them magical. Finally my boyfriend surprised with another pair of ears from EarsEverAfter which are the Tower of Terror ears as this is my all-time favourite ride and such a lovely surprise for finishing university.

2017 has been the year where I took the plunge and got tattooed several times by a good friend who has become a tattoo apprentice, she is super talented and every design is from me telling her an idea and she designing it from there.

First tattoo - Mandala

I adore this tattoo especially it being my first one and I am so proud of myself for finally facing my fears of the tattoo gun and it is where my obsession with getting tattooed started. The dot work in this tattoo is what makes it so beautiful though as pretty as dot work is I find it so irritating having it done.

Second tattoo - Manchester Bee Tattoo Appeal

In May this year there was a horrific attack in Manchester following an Ariana Grande concert and from going to University in Manchester and living so close to the city I decided to join in with the appeal and get this tattoo to help such a great cause. The tattoo studio I go to ended up raising around £12,000 for the appeal which is amazing.

Third tattoo - Eddie from Iron Maiden

After seeing Iron Maiden for a second time this year I turned round to my boyfriend during the concert and said "I need to get Eddie tattooed on me" and I love the design which mixes a couple of the classic Eddie styles together, though sitting through the tattoo which is on the back of my calf was excruciating and is probably my most painful tattoo to date.

Fourth tattoo - Game of Thrones Dragon Eggs

Game of Thrones is one of my top five favourite tv shows and I knew I had to get something relating to the show in tattoo form. I love the design of these dragon eggs as they aren't too in your face screaming about Game of Thrones though fans of the show would know what they are.

Fifth tattoo - Skeleton Mermaid

I mean who wouldn't want a Skeleton Mermaid tattoo? This is my most recent tattoo and I adore the design and it suits my anesthetic so much as I am basically a mermaid but just a gothic one.

I can't wait to get more tattoos in the future and I already have plans and designs for some so I'll more than likely do an update in the future.

As part of my birthday celebration this year me and my boyfriend are going a trip to Disneyland Paris and the time we are on going when it'll be the 25th Anniversary which will be so lovely to see all the new parade and shows they are planning and as this will be a special trip I wanted to get some custom Minnie Ears as I have been to Disneyland previously and have never worn a pair which is shocking I know as I am a big Disney fan and recently all over Etsy I have seen custom ears and I noticed this one store called Ears Ever After had a pair of Ariel style ones and knew they had to be mine.

The lovely girl Natasha who owns the store has several different custom styles and each one is more perfect than the last it is a struggle not to buy every single pair especially all the sparkly ones. I ordered mine when she had free shipping for her birthday and there is a turnaround period of 1-2 weeks and they arrived after 1 week in perfect condition and are absolutely comfortable perfect for wearing all day around the Disney parks.

After buying that first pair I saw she did a custom pair of Rose Gold ears with gems on them and I fell in love with them straight away and messaged her about them and she was super helpful and they arrived so quickly. They are going to look so perfect wearing around the park especially on my birthday so I can actually be a princess.

I can't wait to be wearing them around the park in July and hopefully be adding more ears to my collection in the future as no Disney trip is complete without a pair of ears.

My motto in life is treat yo self and I was in need of some treats especially after I have just finished my second year of university can I get a hallelujah? So I thought I would share these with you today in a little blog post.

Conceal And Perfect 2 In 1 Foundation And Concealer '01 Creamy Vanilla' - I've been after a new foundation for a while and I've heard so many good things about this foundation so I took the plunge and decided to order it the only problem is I should of ordered the lightest shade and in fact ordered the second lightest though I can make it work by adding lightening drops.

RCMA No Colour Powder -  I've wanted to try this powder for so long as I prefer to set my foundation and concealer into place with a loose setting powder rather than a pressed powder as it cakes up on my face and this powder was at the top of my list to try for ages so I knew I had to add it to my basket when I saw it was back in stock on Beauty Bay.

Morphe M510 Pro Round Blender Brush - This brush is a repurchase as I absolutely adore this brush for highlight as Jeffree Star recommended it and I thought I would test it out and I fell in love with it.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Manny MUA Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Daddy' - The Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks are one of my favourite lipstick formulas as they don't dry out my lips throughout the day, and once I knew that Jeffree was collaborating with Manny on a collection I was excited to see the colours and I fell in love with 'Daddy' as this is the kind of lip colour I adore.

Jeffre Star Cosmetics Manny MUA Skin Frost 'Eclipse' - Jeffree's Skin Frost are all stunning and once again when I found out he was collaborating with Manny I knew I needed the skin frost as they are both highlighter addicts and the colour is beautiful. I do find that I need to use a light hand as it can be a bit dark on my skin though it is so blinding.

Let me know if you've treated yourself to anything nice recently.

Back in 2010 when I first saw You Me At Six little did I know I would be in Blackburn seeing them again 7 years later and taking my younger brother to see a band I was in love with when I was his age and still am now. Although I have to admit when they brought out Cavalier Youth I was not a massive fan and did not listen to them as much as I once did though they have saved their place in my heart with Night People and especially with the tour they are on at the moment it brought back so many emotions hearing Save it for the Bedroom and also Underdog as well as other great tracks such as Loverboy and also Reckless.

I had a great time in little old Blackburn seeing them put on a great show and even mentioning they could be touring next year as it will be the anniversary of "Take off your colours" as that album is turning 10 next year and trust me that will be one tour I will not be missing out on.
